The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has approved an additional $2 million to keep the ACES weekend rail service that carries gamblers between New York City and Atlantic City running for at least two more years.

Harrah's Resort, Caesars Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa have all contributed to the train as a way to lure players in from the city so they wouldn't have to drive. But officials said that ridership was good during the summer but has declined during the fall months. Starting on Friday, the number of trips will be reduced to 11 from the existing 17.

Jimmy Eat World is an American band from Mesa , Arizona, formed in 1993. The band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind.

Jimmy Eat World has released six studio albums in over 16 years as a band, the last five featuring the current lineup.

Their debut self-titled album Jimmy Eat World was released in 1994, with current guitarist Linton singing most of the lead vocals on the album. Jimmy Eat World released both their second and third albums through Capitol Records, with 1996's Static Prevails featuring their first single "Rockstar".

Clarity in 1999 contained the single "Lucky Denver Mint", which was featured in the film -Never Been Kissed.

The four piece's commercial breakthrough came in 2001 with the successful release of several singles from the album Bleed American, four singles charted within the top 20, "The Middle" peaked at number one. Jimmy Eat World followed up with Futures in 2004, featuring another Modern Rock Tracks number one, "Pain".

Come out to The Venue to see two of China's hottest performers, Ron Ng & Yumiko Cheung. Ron Ng is known better known for being a the star in China's hit TV show,  "Triumph in the Skies".  He was one of the four TVB actors selected to be the spokespeople of the 2006 World Cup. Besides Ron, the three chosen ones were Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong. Because of his role In Twin of Brothers, Ron won his first award, "Most Improved actor in 2004".

Yumiko Cheung was originally a member of the group 3T (along with Mandy and Maggie Lau), which released an EP in September of 2002. Yumiko's potential was, however, soon identified by the company and in November 2002, her first solo EP Yumiko The Debut EP was released, followed by DanceDanceDance in June of 2003. Her first full-length album One2Three was released in November 2003.

Hilarious crimes are no stranger to casinos, especially ones that end less than successfully. Recently some armored car robbers swiped a $1 million money bag during the day in Las Vegas! The casino is unnamed at this point, but the joke seems to be on the robbers.

Within the bag of money, there was only $36,000 in cash - the rest was in checks and other receipts according to a Station Casinos spokeswoman.

The whole robbery took only a few moments but little is known about the robbers yet. They were last seen driving in either a gold or tan sedan but there's no information on their appearances.

The River City casino project is expected to be opening in March of 2010, a few months earlier than expected. Located in Lemay, Missouri, the new casino has a 90,000-square-foot gaming floor and several restaurants. Once finished, it is expected to create over 1,000 permanent jobs.

Owned by Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. the casino still needs final approval from the Missouri Gaming Commission before opening next year.

Everyone has had one of those times where you lost a little more than you expected at the casino. But Terrance Watanabe lost more than a couple hundred. He lost something to the tune of $127 million over the course of 2007 at Rio and Caesars Palace.

It's being reported that Watanabe may have the greatest losing streak in Vegas history, which isn't all that surprising when when it turns out that the $127 million accounted for a whole 5.6% of Harrah's Entertainment gambling revenue in Las Vegas.

I'm going to let that sink in. A single guy accounted for over a twentieth of a casino company's earnings in a single year.

It almost seems understandable that Watanabe is currently trying to sue the casinos for illegally encouraging him to gamble by giving him excessive amounts of alcohol and pain medication. So he believes they should bear the responsibility. Meanwhile, Harrah's is saying that Watanabe still owes them almost $15 million dollars.

Hoosier Park has made some updates to their Prime Harvest Buffet, which sound far too delicious (I've got to stop writing about food around lunch time).

Unlimited steak sounds good enough to me, but there's more than just that now. Voters in Jefferson County approved of the addition of casino games at Charles Town Races & Slots. These new additions will include blackjack, craps, roulette and poker in Charles Town, which has been home to horse racing for more than seven decades.

The new addition of tables will mean that Charles Town Races & Slots will need to hire new employees, which is a good thing in this economic climate. In an article with WOWK TV, Al Britton, the general manager of Charles Town Races & Slots talks about their plans for the future.

Charles Town Races & Slots will add about 500 jobs because of the new table games, he said.

"We'll going to be recruiting about 350 dealers," he said. "Our plan is to recruit locally and train locally."

Dealers at the Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort in Chester earn about $45,000 a year, Britton said.

"We're talking about jobs that pay well," he said. "Our expectation is that a dealer in the Eastern Panhandle, with our market demographics, will get paid $45,000 a year or more."

Britton predicts it will be mid-2010 before enough dealers have been hired and trained so that Charles Town Races & Slots can begin offering casino games.

Sometimes you have to wonder about people. RGT Online has a great question about what to do when you find slot payout ticket. And the guy who sent in the question did everything wrong.

After a woman dropped a ticket, he took it. Then ignored her when she asked around looking for it. Then he left the casino. Instead of turning it into security, he came back and tried to cash them himself. When that didn't work, he tore them up and flushed them down the toilet. Suffice to say, that wasn't the best course of action.

It's worth reading the whole letter and you've really got to wonder about this guy. He admits to knowing that the entire casino is under video surveillance but still tried to claim it for himself.

Last June, the Harrah's Cherokee Casino began selling alcohol in their lounges, restaurants and as part of room service but there was one place you couldn't get a drink: the casino floor. Laws existed that prevented any place from selling alcohol that allowed gambling.

But that's changing since Special Deputy Attorney General John Aldridge said the rule "would not be enforceable on the Cherokee casino."

"We just wanted to be perfectly clear on that issue," tribal ABC board Chairman Bob Blankenship said."We didn't want to violate any state law."
