New
Again - For Taking Back Sunday it's more than an album title, it's a
declaration. "We kicked around a bunch of different titles, but that
one always remained the top of the list, and that's because it really
does feel like a new band," vocalist Adam Lazzara says.
Taking
Back Sunday is not turning their collective back on what is already a
storied past, not when their resume boasts three gold albums, extensive
touring with the likes of Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Jimmy
Eat World, as well as co-headlining the Warped package and appearing at
the historic Live Earth, all in-between their own headlining gigs for
10,000 plus fans regularly. Yes, it's already an impressive run TBS has
had, but the rejuvenated group is looking clearly to the here and now.
Beyond
a band, AAR is four friends who discovered one other and scored the
American dream. In July 2005, they presented their fans with Move
Along, a breakout effort featuring three smash hits, "Dirty Little
Secret," "It Ends Tonight," and the LP's inspiring anthemic title
track. From down home southern boys to multi-platinum stars, AAR broke
through the pabulum of mainstream pop with a cache of great songs and
an authentic connection to their adoring audience. Insists Ty, "In the
end, we're just a band, close friends, who care deeply about what we
do. When the bullshit eventually dies, love survives. I'm no rock star
or hometown hero. I'm just a nobody. And like the song says, you're
nobody 'til somebody loves you."
